In the meantime, let's start making ribbon roof decorations. We have brocade, 2 cm wide. We cut 8 strips of 6 cm each, we process the sections with a lighter. And with a needle and thread we make petals out of them. Let's take a look at the stages of their implementation.

First, lower one upper corner to the bottom cut line and immediately lower the needle with small stitches along the folded corner. Then we lower the second upper corner, but on the other side. And with a needle we will continue to fix this edge along the bottom edge. Then it remains to pull the thread a little and get a petal. We do all the details in the same way, only in one petal you need to pull the thread tightly.

We will collect the flower from 6 parts. We arrange them in one row, imposing a little with the entry of one petal on the other. And with a thread with a needle, we again make small stitches along the bottom, connecting the parts together.

It remains to connect the first and last petals in a circle, and pull them together, leaving a small hole. Put the remaining two parts together like a bud and insert it into the middle of the collected petals. We fix the collected flower well with a thread on the wrong side.

Then we cut off two 16 cm cavities from the same tape. Separately, fold the strips in half, fasten with a thread. Then we just put the resulting two parts together with a slight twist and fasten them together.

It remains to fasten the finished flower to the resulting bow with a thread.

Then we apply two more suitable shiny leaves and sew them on the wrong side to the blank from the tape.

At the end, with a glue gun, for reliable fastening on the foil, we glue the resulting composition well in the middle of the lid of the box. The gift box is ready.

For work, I collected the following materials:

2 pieces of different wallpapers;
4 spools of tape;
ruler;
glue gun;
tube with PVA glue;
simple pencil;
scissors;
a piece of thick cardboard;
pink half beads.

First, I found a piece of wallpaper that was left over from a recent renovation. And I took 4 spools of tape.

I measured the height and circumference of the cardboard rings, after which I drew the necessary stripes on the white side of the wallpaper. It turned out 4 strips 7 cm wide and the same number of narrow strips 4 cm wide.

These blanks were used for gluing rings. I glued wide strips on the outside of the bobbin. I made cuts on the protruding edges, bent them and glued them inside the ring.

It remains only to glue narrow stripes in the middle of the paper rings with PVA glue.

This is how beautiful the scotch spools look now. They will be the inside of the box.

I started the second stage - the manufacture of the outer part of the craft. To do this, I took a piece of thick cardboard and drew three blanks on it. You need 2 squares 20 x 20 cm, and 1 rectangle with dimensions 20 x 5 cm.

I cut out all the cardboard blanks and glued them on the wallpaper of the same shade with which the bobbins were pasted over. The rectangle was placed in the center, and the squares were laid out on the sides of it at a distance of 6-8 mm.

I glued the edges of the paper inside and covered them with a rectangle of the same wallpaper measuring 45 x 19 cm.

It turned out the outer part of the box, which is easily bent in 2 places.

And the second part became a lid that fits snugly on top.

The last stage of manufacturing remains - decor. I decided to make it from wallpaper of a contrasting shade. I cut out 10 flowers (five larger and the same number of small ones), as well as oval-shaped leaves with sharp edges.

I glued small flowers in the center of the large ones and placed them in a circle on the lid of the box. I glued the leaves between them and in the very center. A pink half-bead fits perfectly into the middle of each flower. It turned out simple and elegant at the same time.

But something was missing. I also wanted to make corners for the box of the same shade as the flowers.
From dark brown wallpaper I cut 4 squares 4 x 4 cm. On each of them I drew smaller squares measuring 2 x 2 cm and drew one diagonal.

Then I bent all the blanks along the lines into small squares.

I glued the bottom and sides. We got these corners.

I rounded the top corners to make it look nicer.

I glued the blanks to the corners of the lid and bottom.

Everything, the box of reels with your own hands is ready! It is very convenient to store beads and beads for needlework in round cells.

8. Lubricate the surface of the box in those places where the pictures will be pasted with decoupage glue. We impose a picture and cover it with the same glue on top, observing the direction of the brush - from the center of the picture to the edges. Let dry completely.

9. If you really want to, you can add scuffs with sandpaper. If in your opinion the image of a vintage box is complete, it can be covered with acrylic varnish, preferably in 2-3 layers.

In this lesson, we will make the box "Mom's Treasures" with our own hands. This does not require any skills. All materials can be purchased at any office supply store.

You will need:

whatman paper (thick) 1 sheet of A1 format and 4 sheets of A3 format;
scrapbooking paper 3 sheets with a density of 180 grams, the size can be taken 30.5 by 30.5 centimeters;
glue moment (more suitable crystal);
pencil;
paper knife;
knitting needle;
ruler;
glue stick;
meter of satin ribbon;
thick cardboard;
various decorations.

The box will be square in shape, and inside there will be 4 small boxes for storing valuable little things.

You should start with small inner boxes. To do this, on sheet A3, draw the base of the box and lid.

You will need an iron knitting needle or a rod from a pen to make a creasing. If you don't know this term, don't worry. You need to take a knitting needle and, pressing it against the paper, draw it along the fold lines several times. This is done so that the folds on the front side are neat and the paper does not crack.

Then you need to cut the base and glue it, as shown in the photo. We carry out the same manipulations with lids for boxes. Glue the pencil with glue.

When all 4 boxes are ready, you can start making the box itself. First you need to put all the boxes together and measure all sides. In order for the boxes to easily fit into the box, you need to add 0.5 centimeters on both sides. Then, according to the measurements obtained, you need to draw a diagram of the base of the box on a sheet of drawing paper A3.

Before gluing the base, you need to make a scoring along all lines. Then bend the base along the lines, put 4 small boxes inside and try on if everything is fine.

When the base is glued, you need to make a lid for the box.

It is necessary to measure the base and add a centimeter to each side. Taking into account the received measurements, we cut out 2 sheets of cardboard. Then, measure the height of the base, add 1 cm and cut out a strip of cardboard, as shown in the photo.

We lay out the resulting parts from cardboard on whatman paper, leaving a margin of 2 centimeters on each side. Cut off the excess and glue all the pieces of cardboard.

Be sure to make a creasing around each piece of cardboard. Next, you need to bend the edges of the drawing paper and glue them tightly to the cardboard.

We take the tape, cut it into two parts and glue the moment to the inside of the lid.

Now the inside needs to be decorated. To do this, you need scrap paper, measure and cut it so that it hides all the errors of the cover. Scrap paper is usually not large, so we glue the missing fragment separately. The joint will not be visible, since the base of the box will be glued in this place.

We glue the base to the lid to keep it better, use the glue moment.

The base of the box is ready, let's start decorating.

We glue the front part and all the side parts of the box with scrap paper. We glue small boxes with scrap paper and figured napkins.

At the end, we decorate the front of the box with flowers or any other decorations to your taste. We glue all the decorations with glue moment. A circle of the required size is drawn on paper, which is then cut out. The sides are formed from a rectangle.

The execution of the work includes several points.

Using adhesive tape and a clip, form the "skeleton" of the box. It will be oval, as in the picture.
Then you can start wrapping the box.
The bottom part is lined with fabric.
The lid is also created from cardboard, to which the side is glued. Then you need to put a synthetic winterizer on the lid and also use textiles as pasting. The edges are decorated with paper.

Master class on creating from wood

This option is more complex than the previous ones, but such a product has a long service life.

First you need to prepare the necessary tools and materials.

Pencil.
Ruler.
A long plank 10 mm thick and 10 cm wide. Soft wood products are suitable: pine, alder, linden.
Board to create the bottom and cover. Its width should be equal to the dimensions of the finished base.
Hand saw with fine teeth. Alternatively, you can use an electric jigsaw.
Knife.
Sandpaper.
Construction glue PVA. The use of carpentry "Moment" is allowed.

After the dimensions of the future box are determined, it will be necessary to cut out two blanks from the planks, which will be equal to the length and width indicators. On the end part of each workpiece, a bevel is equipped with a knife, the angle of which is 45 degrees.

This angle provides a beautiful joint between the side parts of the box. The depth of the bevel is identical to the width of the board.

Before proceeding with the gluing process, it is necessary to make sure that the bevels are in tight contact with each other, and there are no gaps between them. If discrepancies are observed, they can be eliminated with coarse sandpaper.

The side parts need to be glued gradually. Each step is checked against the inner corner. It should be 90 degrees. Otherwise, in the end you cannot get an even rectangle, and the wooden box will look unattractive.

The bottom can be done in two ways.

If you plan to stick with paper or textiles, you will need a blank for the bottom, which is identical in size to the parameters of the box. In this case, you need to glue it in such a way that the sides are visible. That is, it is simply glued from below to the “skeleton” of the product.
If the product will be varnished, it is recommended to hide the bottom inside the box - in this way it will look aesthetically pleasing. This will require a blank that is smaller in size than the size of the base by two board thicknesses. For example, if the box is 10x10 cm and the wall thickness is 1 cm, then the bottom will be 8x8 cm.

The cover is created using the following method:

the workpiece is cut according to the given dimensions of the base and mounted on hinges;
the optimal solution is fixation on a piano loop, the length of which is 2 cm less than the length of the box itself;
using sandpaper, the end parts are processed.

Any materials can be used as decor: varnish, paint, decoupage, fabric, leather, beads and plain paper.

A jewelry box can be made from many materials. Some of them are in every home and are even thrown away as unnecessary. However, in the hands of skilled needlewomen, any items can get a second life. For example, you can create a creative jewelry box from scotch tape reels.

For work you will need:

2 reels of adhesive tape, the dimensions of both products must be the same;
glue;
cardboard;
regular pencil;
scissors or utility knife.

The reel is placed on a cardboard sheet and outlined with a pencil. Alternatively, you can use a felt-tip pen or marker.
Then two identical circles are cut out: the first will act as the bottom, and the second as the lid.
One of the bobbins is cut into two parts. This blank will be used as a cover. It should have slightly smaller parameters compared to the box itself.
Cardboard circles are glued to the reels.
Polymer clay is often used as decor. Previously, the material is subjected to softening, rolled to the desired size.
After that, the inside of the box is covered with clay. All joints with seams and irregularities must be carefully hidden.
Passes are not allowed. If you ignore this rule, bubbles will appear.
When the inner part is ready, you can start working on the outer layer. Squares of different colors with patterns will look stylish. Before laying the extreme row, a ribbon should be glued, which will act as a curtain for fixing the cover.
Then each part that is processed with polymer clay should be placed in the oven. When the material has cooled, the item can be exploited.

There is another option to easily create a jewelry box at home. This will require an unnecessary book. Such an item can be used not only for jewelry, but also as a cache, which contains every little thing. If you want to hide something from prying eyes, you do not need to use the decor.

Luxurious box

This decoration option will give your dressing table a touch of chic, luxury and burlesque.

You will need materials that are in the arsenal of any needlewoman. We will have a base from plastic bottles, namely from the bottom. You will also need lace, black and red fabric, cardboard, beads, satin ribbons and glue.

You can proceed, cut a height of 9-10 cm from a 2.5 liter bottle. And use a gypsy needle to make holes around the entire circumference.

From thicker paper or cardboard, cut out two circles of different diameters. The large one will serve as a lid (11.5 cm), the smaller one will be the bottom (8.5 cm).

We wrap the large circle with the main fabric. Its diameter should be approximately 5 cm from the diameter of the circle.

Now we make our box more stable. Using hot glue, glue the previously cut cardboard circle to the bottom of the bottle.

From the same main fabric we cut out a circle with a diameter of about 26 cm. Sew with light stitches around the circumference, place the box inside and tighten the notes. See detailed photos below.
